What a thrill it gives to me,
I feel excited and hopeful for the things to come,
It’s arrival is like a baby, new, and young!
Yes, the weather is often cold, and very harsh.
But oh the thrill because of it, seeing God’s wonderful stars!
The chill makes them to shine so bright, it clears the sky and then stills the night.
Catching your breath as you inhale the sharp air,
Dreaming with anticipation of things to come in this, the brand new year.
The Lord has blessed us greatly with January.
A beautiful time, and a wonderful gift.
