Wedding season!

This past weekend I had the awesome privilege of being able to do the decorations for one of my lovely church friend’s wedding. Her and I have been friends for about 10+years and have gone on some pretty fun and crazy adventures together. Including hiking a mountain, biking 40+ miles in a rainstorm, camping, etc. etc.

I was super excited when she gave me the opportunity to help with her wedding and putting the decorations together was so much fun! She wanted a simple style with some wood elements added. Her main colors were royal blue and a few shades of pink.

Flowers used for the aisle

We strung up tulle down the aisle, draping each inside chair with it and pinning a flower and some ribbon to each chair. The above flowers are a couple that I used for the aisle.

For the centerpieces I got some wood rounds from a couple of folks off of Facebook marketplace as I didn’t have time to cut any myself. And then we decided to use peonies from my mom’s perennial garden in quart jars and the flowers for the centerpieces. I placed the jars on the wood round with a small crocheted coaster and then placed a couple of votive candles in holders on the round and table as well. One of the candles I chose to be blush pink to match the theme. A few flower petals, sparkly glass filler pieces and the table numbers completed the look.

For the table numbers I painted some loose flowers in shades of blue with watercolor to add some more blue accent. These were super fun to make!

I don’t have many pictures from the actual day but it was such a fun and beautiful time. She was a stunning bride and everything went off without a hitch (Well, the couple got hitched😄).
